Celebrity Cruise Lines- What the best time can be!

http://www.celebrity-cruises.com

Summary My wife and I had a great start to the November 21 South Caribbean cruise by having an extraordinary time flying with one of cruise.com's senior management. Needless to say, what I already knew about the ship and itinerary was dramatically improved after talking to Dan for 3 hours. The trip turned out to be awesome.
Itinerary St.Lucia Barbados Martinique Antigua St.Thomas San Juan
Summary:

Awesomely beautiful interior, worth the ride.
Summary:

Fairly flat island, cave is a highlight.
Summary:

The rainforests are amazing, how many times can you say "ahhh!"
Summary:

Great Sailing, snorkeling on cats. Beaches!
Summary:

Shopping! Never got inland.
Summary:

Galaxy Port. Your usually too rushed to see!

* note about Itinerary: Because Catalina Island was damaged by a hurricane, we traveled along the chain (24 hrs at sea) so the islands were in view on the port side during the passage. Our 1st port of call was St.Lucia.

Deck 10 - Penthouse

Typical passageway, showing entrances to suites.
(Our deck below, Vista, with the premium veranda rooms was about as nice.)
Comment:

The use of oak, brass, stainless steel in the overhead, is impressive in these spaces. Likewise the lighting is subtle and relaxing, intimate.
Deck 9 - Vista, Premium with Veranda

View from veranda to room. Left is cabinet with TV and mini-bar below. Center is door, to the right is bathroom block. Oak, stainless steel overhead.
Comment:

Excellent space for a couple. Immediately forward of our room is exactly the same space but the veranda is replaced with a sitting area and a window.... your choice.
Bathroom ("head"), comment:

This would seem to be an insignificent issue, but it is an example of the quality of design on Galaxy.

Left View: every available space is maximized for functionality. Note the hair-dryer, and the shelves to hold the husband and wife stuff. Tissue holder below. Not shown, is stainless steel toilet tissue holder and a brush to clean toilet if you are embarrased.

Right View: The shower. Again, total workmanship and functionality. Tile floor, easy to use curtain to glass in center. Top quality components. Great water pressure.
Atrium:

This is the "center" of the ship, spans 3 decks. Unlike other ships, Galaxy doesn't make a big "splash". It is consistant with the ships architectual design based on class and scale. It is appropriate. What is impressive is the use of materials in the right balance. Unfortunately, these 256k gif's do not do the space justice.

Left: Lifeboats above prominade deck pictured above.

Right: Prominade Deck, Lifeboats above.
Prominade Deck:

Like old and great ships, Galaxy has a proper Prominade Deck. It spans both port and starboard a good percentage of the length of the ship. It is on the entertainment deck, so it's a great place to go during a break at dinner while at sea to take a "breath of air".

There are lounge chairs here to get rest away from the pool crowd.

It also serves as a very practical function as a wide and spacious area for lifeboat boarding. Major safety.

This is very smart cruise ship design!
Comment: Ships Library

left: entrance to, notice ship models.

right: interior over desk looking out to Atrium.
Comment:

left: passageway in shops area, note sitting area ahead, shop to the right.

right: Casino. Appropriately large for this ship. All usual casino stuff. Staff was excellent.
